Cyber Security & IT Security
On the one hand, it is essential for us to consider new theoretical approaches as far as possible, but also the intensive cooperation with partners from industry as well as research partners from other areas such as medical research or bioinformatics, in order to achieve research results that are as realistic and relevant for practical application as possible.
Essential topics therefore also include the area of digital forensics, which is particularly relevant for public authorities, but also the topic of industrial security, since this practical area of application has particularly interesting conditions (long running time of the components, low possibilities of alterations in the system, 24/7 operation) and at the same time has an extremely high criticality.
Students of the study course IT Security and Information Security have the opportunity to deepen their practical knowledge by participating in research projects and thus gain practical experience in the field of (cooperative) research.
