For the past two years, our Digital Humanities project AniVision has been conducting research at the intersection of film studies, animation studies, and computer science, focusing on animation in ephemeral film.

On September 29 and 30 of this year, we will host a two-day workshop at the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences in Austria. The aim is to discuss the latest developments in the field of film-related Digital Humanities and to foster interdisciplinary exchange between scholarly communities. In a series of panels, we will address digital methods in film and media studies, the visualization of large datasets, as well as digital tools for research in animation and ephemeral film.
