Babycouch offers support for pregnant women, nursing mothers and young families. The St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences conducts a scientific evaluation of the project.
Contact and expert knowledge for families
Birth and babies’ first years are often a challenging time for parents. The project „Babycouch“ considers itself a meeting and contact point for expecting and new parents who can find advice on all topics concerning pregnancy, nursing and infant care. In a relaxed atmosphere dietitians, physicians, midwives, educationists and psychologists answer questions according to the newest scientific knowledge. Specific concerns of parents of premature babies, single parents and parents or families with a migration background are addressed as well.
Scientific evaluation to ensure quality
St.Pölten UAS is responsible for the scientific and statistical evaluation of the project. A specially developed questionnaire supports the annual evaluation of the project and ensures quality and development of the project through the years. The continuity of the evaluation makes long-term comparisons between the individual surveys possible and provides information about influencing factors such as migration background or socio-economic membership on early childhood education.
