Visual Analytics for real estate platform

Using Visual Analytics to make a pool of current and historical data explorable.

The goal of the project is to improve and further develop an existing real estate platform. Based on data that has been collected over years, Visual Analytics methods are used to make a pool of current and historical data explorable. An interdisciplinary Visual Analytics approach is used to gain insights from the collected data regarding supply and demand from meta search portal 

In the course of the project a concept for a visual query/analysis language for the existing database was developed that allows not only experts but also users with little knowledge of the industry/computers to formulate queries. The resulting mock-up was evaluated in a usability test. The results, including specific problems and review suggestions were listed in a report to enable to implement new functions into the portal, improving the existing platform and developing an analysis product.
