Researchers Develop App for Creating Healthy Working Conditions

Work-related disorders of the locomotor system are becoming an increasing burden for both employees and companies.

St. Pölten UAS researchers Christian Jandl and Mario Heller – together with David Kostolani from TU Wien – are developing a mobile app to sensitise employees with regard to ergonomic workflows.

Functions of the app

• This allows employees to assess their daily work processes independently and according to ergonomic criteria.
• Users of the app can analyse their body posture in real time.

The research project “Ergo4A – Ergonomie für alle“ is funded by the Lower Austrian Chamber of Labour (project fund Work 4.0).
