In the project “Data Service Ecosystems for A Digital Product Passport”, Tassilo Pellegrini conducts research on the requirements for a digital product passport from the technical, legal, and organisational perspectives.

The researcher is the Co-Head of the Institute for Innovation Systems and a professor at the St. Pölten UAS’ Department of Digital Business and Innovation.

Most recently, Pellegrini held a presentation at the specialist event “Digital Product Passport. Framework, Use Cases & Challenges.“ hosted by the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK).

“The digital product passport is an important core measure of the European Commission for the transformation of the economy away from a linear system and towards a circular one. It creates transparency along the supply chain and lays the foundation for an environmentally and socially acceptable, data-driven sustainability transition that makes an impact far beyond the European Union”, emphasises Pellegrini.
