CPS-Security

Investigating threats to cyber-physical systems (CPS) and developing countermeasures

Dangers of complex production

Increasing automation and the practice of spreading production and governance in critical infrastructures over multiple locations using so-called cyber-physical systems (CPS) necessitates the opening of formerly closed systems, making them more vulnerable to attacks.

Detecting anomalies

In the course of the project, emerging threats resulting from the use of CPS are investigated. The central approach is using data from production and control processes for continuous monitoring anomalies in performance of CPS and thus determining causes. This allows developing and applying tailored countermeasures to such cyber threats.
