FLEXICOACH - Nutzeroptimierte Schienenfahrzeuge

The aim of the project FLEXICOACH is a rail vehicle interior system design, which allows passengers the best possible satisfaction of needs and optimal use of travel time and at the same rates through extensive standardized solutions in the production as possible.
Efficiency and the attractiveness as well as the acceptance of the rail system can be improved significantly. The project FLEXICOACH investigates the feasibility or desirability of different systems and creates the basis for further technical realization.

The task of the Media Computing Research Group is to investigate current standards in the media section of rail vehicle interiors, and to plan the media equipment in the rail vehicle interiors. This concept includes information and service system, that are tailored to customer needs, as well as an optimal infrastructure at the traveler’s seat.
