Guidance for caring relatives -test project und nationwide implementation

In a previous project, St. Pölten UAS in cooperation with Volkshilfe developed a concept to guide the dialogue between support agencies and with people that care for relatives, in particular carers looking after a person suffering from dementia.

In this follow-up project, the developed instrument was employed in a test region in the federal province of Burgenland. The goal is to refine the instrument based on the findings of the pilot project with regard to a nationwide implementation. Insights and experiences of using the guide as reported by professional counsellors and carers of relatives were collected and a detailed survey conducted. This information is used to refine both the diagnosis and advice guideline.
