upribox - Usable Privacy Box

The project "usable privacy box" (upribox) developes a software and creates a device that protects internet privacy and ensures data security.

The upribox is a small network box, consisting of a Raspberry Pi, a small and affordable computer, and a software that filters ad-ons and protects the user’s privacy and sensitive information. It can be easily connected to any internet modem and is compatible with all current devices and operating systems.

Once connected, the upribox sets up its own Wi-Fi. All devices connected to it will be protected from webbugs and tracking codes. Via VPN access the secure network is also accessable and from afar. Additionally the ninja mode enables the user to disguise his whereabouts.

The developed software is available as an Open-Source-License. At the same time the project aims at designing and launching a market- ready product.
