How Can Digital Solutions Support Social Work Professionals?

In the project TransSoDia, an international team developed innovative tools for social diagnostics – under the lead of Karin Goger and Christina Engel-Unterberger from the St. Pölten UAS. Together with the Kiel University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and the Hogeschool Saxion (Netherlands), they created practical materials that can also be used in teaching:

• A series of videos on YouTube
• Podcasts of interviews with experts
• The web apps easyNWK and easyBiograph to support network and biography diagnostics
• Application guidelines and scientific texts on network and biography diagnostics

“We have consistently linked specialist concepts to empirical findings and perspectives from practice.” – Karin Goger, expert for social diagnostics and case management. She has been teaching at the St. Pölten UAS as a lecturer since 2012. Apart from this, she works as a supervisor and organisational consultant, among other activities.

“Thanks to Erasmus+, we were able to combine specialist knowledge from various countries and make it available.” – Christina Engel-Unterberger, specialist for professional development, organisational & group develop, and children’s & youth participation. She has been working at the St. Pölten UAS since 2017 and, e.g., used to be the Vice President of the Austrian Social Work Society (ogsa).
