AR Remote Support

Augmented Reality (AR) based support via browser

AR (Augmented Reality) Remote Support is one of the first open applications that enables collaborative work using a mobile AR device (smartphone, tablet) and a browser. Once the AR Remote Support app is installed on a device, users can directly send a link from this app, e.g. via e-mail, WhatsApp or Messenger. Recipients – e.g. specialists who can assist with a specific problem - will only receive this link which can be opened in any browser. They can then see the user's environment in real time as a video stream. This way, they can immediately provide support without having to install or configure a software.
If the specialist clicks on a point in the video stream, an Augmented Reality anchor is placed at exactly this position in the user's mobile app. The specialist can then add comments (text, symbols, ...), which are displayed to the user directly at the corresponding location. This way, very detailed graphical support information can be provided for each location to help users solve their problems.
