Augmented Paper

In addition to conventional QR codes, augmented reality applications have now hit the market –especially the smartphone market due to products with better high-resolution cameras and processors.

This technology can be used in the publishing industry to create a bridge between the print and online worlds. This project will evaluate magazines which use augmented reality to enrich the reading experience with videos, text and audio. It will then test self-designed augmented reality markers with specified classes of smartphones and augmented reality frameworks. The results will then be used to draw up guidelines for the creation of robust markers for print magazines.
